WHAT WE BELIEVE
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Word
The Bible, the Scriptures, and both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God without error – the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and divine and final authority for all Christian faith.
(II Timothy 3:16)
God & The Trinity
There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:26; Luke 1:35)
The Holy Spirit
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing inner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. (John 16:12-15)
Atonement
Jesus Christ is the true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He died on the cross for mankind, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose from the dead and ascended into heaven, where He stands at the right hand of God the Father.
(Luke 1:31; Acts 7:55-56; Hebrews 10:12-14)
Salvation
The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.
(Romans 10:9-11; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Whole-Life Prosperity
It is God’s will for believers to become whole, healthy, and successful in all areas of life: spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, and emotionally.
(III John 1:3-4)
Future Events
There will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead: believers experiencing everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, while the unbeliever faces judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
(Daniel 12:2; John 5:28-29; Acts 24:15)
Man
Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
(John 3:3-6)
The Church
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for
godly living and service.
(John 16:12-15)
Baptism & Communion
Soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior, water baptism by immersion is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial service setting forth the death of the Lord Jesus Christ in a sacred and symbolic manner; all true believers share in it.
(Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
